I suggest we move welding and cutting off to it's own page, how does means of production or personal heavy industry sound?

Not sure what I think about the safe to ride drunk statement, I would take it out. It isn't the best advice, something about helmets might be good too. Can't revolt is your brain is Jello. Ploney

Good idea about helmets. About the drunk bit: I think riding drunk is a much better idea than driving drunk, since one endangers oneself more than one endangers others. Doctormatt 09:58, 23 July 2006 (PDT)
Added helmet info. Doctormatt 10:07, 23 July 2006 (PDT)
i concur with DrMatt on the drunk thing. we dont want any jelloheaded revolutionaries, no. but darwin takes care of the certain people in certain ways. anyway, you gotta get around. and drinking in the first place is prolly more dangerous that riding a bike while tipsy. at least if you're on a bike, you can leave the scene if necessary. --firsty 13:17, 24 July 2006 (PDT)

I removed the helment diatribe paragraph. While amusing, I don't think it helps. Many, many people around the world ride without helmets, including many who can afford them. I was in Paris for a few days this summer, and I saw many, many cyclists. Yet, it took hours before I saw anyone wearing a helmet. I don't think it is fair to say that all of the those people were making bad decisions by not wearing helmets. A key point is that the more people ride, the safer it is; and if it's a choice between riding helmetless and not riding at all, I'd vastly prefer people ride helmetless. well, we're both entitled to our opinions. i cant allow myself to make fun of idiots riding motorcycles without helmets without forcing myself to acknowledge that it's obviously safer to ride with a helmet than without. i'll take your edit and call you - by placing the deleted text here, in talk, for further review if appropriate. --firsty 12:29, 2 November 2006 (PST) (If you're somehow masculinely opposed to wearing a helmet, just buy one, or have someone buy one for you. Then, set it on the nearest piece of furniture to where you keep your bike. That way, you'll have to deal with your own damn self if you get into an accident without a helmet on. Boy, will you feel stupid. It was right there the whole time, after all. Put an upside down American flag on your helmet and a "I'm High" sticker on it, or a pro biking sticker with a slogan like "ONE LESS CAR". That way, at least you'll still look cool.)

Winter

Your project should really address winter bicycling, many parts of the US are assumed to be un-cyclable for half the year. My thoughts are to install ice stud tires and compensating for rust from constant salt exposure.
