All the hotels I've ever checked into require a credit card, and proof of age (must be over 21 to check into some). Further, most college dorms have key card entry locks. Niether of these methods seem vry viable anymore.

A small note on construction

Anymore they'll have webcams or the like watching a site, so be careful, I need to figure out how to take out the two webcams at my college.

And an editing note, this sentence doesn't ring too clearly. If you pull the hindge pins you can nails to connect many panels for a wall and easily take them down when moving. Arenlor 23:28, 30 October 2007 (MDT)

Beds

(snip)

A little over one hundred years ago the idea of anyone short of royalty or an industrial baron heating a whole house all winter long would be considered financial suicide. The fuel availability transport and cost all conspired to keep people dressed warmly, huddled near a wood or coal stove, and cozied up in curtained beds at night to stay warm.

Canopy beds

I'm editing that section for grammar and clarity, but I'm unsure what exactly this means:

"Reinforce the canopy corners and punch a large grommet; this will slip over a screw or peg at the top of your canopy poles. The same is done for the top two corners on each of your side curtains."

Could somebody please explain this further? Then perhaps we could find a clearer way to write it. Tortilla 12:47, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

  • thanks for the edits! the idea is to reinforce the corners of a cotton bed sheet so the gromets will not easily tear out(maybe a triangle of denim or cordura nylon sewn on), these gromets work like hardened buttonholes and the screw or peg(on all four corners) goes through the gromet like a tent pole, the curtains are hung from the tops of the poles. I can give an illustration a shot not sure this is worth putting in the wiki/bok but should help the description. Ploney
