what to do with out-of-date material
So generally, when it comes to information from the original text that is out of date (which, let's face it, most of it is), shouldn't we be liberally deleting as we go along? Some of this stuff could lead to people being disappointed, fined, jailed, or worse. --Deleted 20:20, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
- Yes, it's not clear on this entire Wiki whether or not the original text should be left intact, and new information added separately, or if the original text should be freely edited to bring it up to date. If I knew the answer to this, I'd start hacking away at this place! Doctormatt 18:09, 6 July 2006 (PDT)
- A little of both. i do have something on the disclaimer in case anyone wants to try anything. but it should be more clear. and we plan to revise the pages a bit to be more clear about how to write new sections or revise existing ones. for the time being, you can start chopping in the discussion pages. once we get the pages updated to a new look, we can move stuff from discussion to article. if that makes sense. --firsty 19:16, 6 July 2006 (PDT)
