Talk:Piracy of Manufacture
From Steal This Wiki
intense.
but it seems like using the software without largescale printers, metal etching mashines, or other things seems pretty useless. furthermore, people in third-world countries who need to defend themselves using giant printers to make molds to manufacture their own guns? seems a little be more complicated that stealing/buying a gun.
this is just a pretty odd little page. sorry.

I expect at some point, too soon I fear, first worlders will need to make their own tools of defense, but the point was to illustrate how radical and disruptive this tech is. A 3-D printer is the future like a laser printer was in the early 80's, when we can make the industrial products of corpgov from societies junk we are a large step in the direction of being free. btw the fab@home printer is the size of a fish tank.
this is not mature tech in any way, but a window to a more free self contained future
I am open to more effective ways of presenting this disruptive tech,
