but it seems like using the software without largescale printers, metal etching mashines, or other things seems pretty useless. furthermore, people in third-world countries who need to defend themselves using giant printers to make molds to manufacture their own guns? seems a little be more complicated that stealing/buying a gun.

this is just a pretty odd little page. sorry.

I expect at some point, too soon I fear, first worlders will need to make their own tools of defense, but the point was to illustrate how radical and disruptive this tech is. A 3-D printer is the future like a laser printer was in the early 80's, when we can make the industrial products of corpgov from societies junk we are a large step in the direction of being free. btw the fab@home printer is the size of a fish tank.


this is not mature tech in any way, but a window to a more free self contained future
